Gunderson Uniform & Linen Celebrates Groundbreaking of New Neenah Facility
NEENAH, Wis. — Gunderson Uniform & Linen officially celebrated the groundbreaking of its new 65,000-square-foot linen and uniform processing facility on Thursday, July 16, marking a major milestone in the company's continued growth and investment in Northeast Wisconsin.

The ceremony brought together elected officials, community leaders, customers, project partners, employees, and members of the media to celebrate the start of construction at 1712 Dixie Road in Neenah.
During the ceremony, Gunderson leadership reflected on the company's 75-year history in Menasha while sharing its vision for the future in Neenah. The event also recognized the many partners who helped make the project possible, including community leaders, financial partners, the project design and construction teams, and valued customers whose trust has supported the company's continued growth.
“Today is about much more than breaking ground on a new building. It's about investing in our future, our employees, our customers, and the communities we serve,” says Sara Gunderson, one of the third-generation owners of Gunderson Uniform & Linen.
“For more than 70 years, Gunderson has grown because of the relationships we've built and the trust our customers have placed in us. We're incredibly grateful to the Menasha community for being our home for so many years, and we're excited to begin this next chapter with the City of Neenah.”

Designed with a precast concrete and structural steel structure, the new facility will expand Gunderson's laundering capacity while supporting future growth through improved workflow, enhanced quality control, expanded automation, and greater operational efficiency. Once complete, the building will provide the infrastructure needed to better serve healthcare, hospitality, food service, and industrial customers across Wisconsin.
Gunderson ownership said the expansion reflects the company's commitment to remaining a strong local partner for generations to come.

"This isn't simply a larger facility. It's a smarter one," says Doug Gunderson, the other 3rd-generation owner and Sara’s brother. "We will be able to recycle up to 85% of the water used in our laundering process, recover heat to reduce energy consumption, and incorporate safety and quality systems unlike anything currently being used in industrial commercial laundry facilities."
Construction is expected to continue through 2026, with the new facility anticipated to open in 2027.
