Health & Safety - 2023 Annual Convention

We are working diligently to provide a safe meeting for our attendees, including by constantly monitoring and complying with the latest federal, state, local, and property guidelines and regulations, as well as the CDC’s information on COVID-19 precautions. For an outline of our commitment to safe and productive meetings, please refer to our Duty of Care.

Hosting a safe event is our top priority. All CSC staff have been trained and certified in Pandemic On-Site Protocol, which enables us to plan and conduct events at which all attendees can feel comfortable and safe. Our staff also must have a negative COVID test no more than 72 hours before an event.

We have also put in place the following Health and Safety Plan that will be updated as necessary by changes in government and/or property advisories and restrictions:

Before You Arrive

  • All attendees (members, suppliers, speakers, and guests) are required to complete our Live Event Waiver prior to arrival.
  • All attendees must complete online registration for the meeting before the registration deadline. Due to space restrictions at our hotel (the Aria), we will be unable to accommodate any on-site registrations. No exceptions.
  • We require guests to complete a self-assessment and be symptom-free before attending. If you have COVID-19 related symptoms, otherwise feel sick, or have recently been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home. You can refer to the CDC’s COVID-19 Self-Checker reference guide for any questions on symptoms by clicking here.
  • We have an open line of communication with the ARIA, and their team is in constant communication with local and state health officials. Before the doors open, we will conduct safety inspections of the event space along with the ARIA.
  • Download the MGM Resorts mobile app (available for iOS and Android devices) to prepare for your stay at the Aria.

When You Arrive at the ARIA and During Your Stay

  • On the day of your arrival, use the MGM Resorts mobile app to check-in to your room, thereby avoiding a line in the lobby.
  • Once you’re checked in with the app and on-site at the ARIA, you’ll be able to use your phone as a digital key to unlock your hotel room door.
  • Easy access to handwashing and sanitizer stations is available throughout the hotel.
  • Complete a daily self-assessment of your health. Are you symptom-free (see the symptom checker above)? If you feel sick or have one or more COVID symptoms, please do not attend CSC meetings and events.
  • We wanted to make all of our attendees aware of the ARIA's COVID policy should you test positive during your trip to Las Vegas. In the event that you test positive for COVID during your stay at the ARIA, you will need to let the Front Desk know as soon as possible. They will have Security assist you throughout your departure and will transport you to another hotel where you can quarantine. The current quarantine hotel is Arizona Charlie's.

During CSC Meetings and Events

  • Masks are not required at the ARIA
  • Some attendees may not yet be comfortable with handshakes or hugs, so feel free to offer an elbow or fist to bump instead of a hand to shake.
  • We will have extra masks and hand sanitizer available at the registration desk for those who need these items.

When You Get Home

  • Should you feel ill and/or test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your return from this event, please contact CSCNetwork immediately so that we can determine if any notifications need to be sent to the Aria or our other guests.
